Having the CreativePassport as central tool to manage my info is awesome. But I still have to update my website when I change the Bio for example.
If I could pull it from CP into my website, that would be awesome. Of course most people have some Squarespace site that doesn't allow this, but I think I'm not alone with coding everything from scratch and therefore having the option to automate things aka being lazy, hehe.
I don't even think we need authentication for the API in the beginning. You could expose only the fields that are marked as public by the user.
API / Service Integration
leverage Creative Passport API in order to allow users to authenticate on their app
The use case is comparable to performing an oAuth flow with other common providers such as Google or Facebook (login with Facebook, login with Google)
The unique value proposition is that we will be able to positively identify the users based on the identity checks Creative Passport performs
Looking forward to the ETA for an API or mechanism to authenticate with Creative Passport, that will be key to properly planify the development
single sign-on identity providers might also become handy in the future
information about which creation is managed by which collecting society would be most useful. And for an easy generation of playlist by music exploiters, we would like to gather as much metadata as possible. This includes audio fingerprinting for identifying usages in cases where metadata isn't easily available.
